Regulation might help too. Right now, tech companies have too much power over what we see. Algorithms push content that keeps us addicted, whether it’s outrage, insecurity, or fake news. Maybe we need laws that force these companies to be more transparent about how their algorithms work.

I think a big issue is how hard it is to get a mortgage. In Western Europe, banks offer reasonable loan terms, but here, interest rates are crazy high, and wages are too low to even qualify for a decent loan. It’s even worse for young people who do want to stay. Without connections or political ties, it’s nearly impossible to get a good job. Merit doesn’t matter here—nepotism does. That’s why so many give up and leave.
