On the topic of resilience, I think family communication is key. So many teens don’t feel safe discussing their online experiences with parents. Either they fear punishment or dismissal. If we want to address the mental health effects of social media, we have to open up those conversations at home. ...

There's a gap between youth and traditional unions, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Unions need to modernize and reach out to young workers in new sectors—tech, gig work, creative industries. Labor rights must evolve with labor realities.
